Approximatrix, LLC adheres to a strict privacy policy surrounding its Simply Fortran product. Approximatrix does not share any information relating to our users with any other parties.
Simply Fortran Client Privacy
The Simply Fortran Integrated Development Environment, when run for the first time on a computer, will attempt to contact the Simply Fortran License Server to request a trial installation key. Simply Fortran will provide the server with a computer identity. On Windows systems, the default identity is the “MachineGuid” provided by the operating system. On GNU/Linux, the default identity is the current username and hostname. This information is only used for identifying the computer for the purposes of enforcing a trial period. No other information is transferred.
The Simply Fortran Integrated Development Environment, when attempting to operate using a network license, will transfer information concerning usernames and IP address to the Simply Fortran License Server for the purposes of identifying users of license tokens for the benefit of the administrators of a particular license. This information is not logged by Approximatrix, LLC, nor is it shared with any other parties.
The Simply Fortran Integrated Development Environment, when attempting to operate using an Individual Registration, will transmit the registration key to the license server for validation if possible. No other information will be transmitted, and the transmission is not logged. Simply Fortran will continue to operate normally if it is unable to reach the license server using an Individual Registration (in cases where, for example, an Internet connection is unavailable). When using an Individual Registration, Simply Fortran will not transmit any personally identifiable information.
Simply Fortran will not transfer any further information to the license server beyond what is explicitly stated above.
Simply Fortran Server Privacy
The Simply Fortran License Server will store information concerning purchases of licenses on its server except for payment details, which are not stored on our server. For each license, Approximatrix will store and maintain a list of administrators and their account passwords and a transient list of current Simply Fortran users accessing a particular license. Approximatrix does not share this information with any other parties.
Changes to This Policy
Approximatrix, LLC reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. We do so by posting and drawing attention to the updated terms on the Site (https://licenses.simplyfortran.com).
Therefore, we ask that you check and review this Agreement for such changes on an occasional basis. Should you not agree to any provision of this Agreement or any changes we make to this Agreement, please contact Approximatrix support at support@approximatrix.com.
