Windows Bug Fixes Available
Version 3.28 for Windows introduced a number of unforeseen compiler-related issues. Specifically, the promised addition of Link Time Optimization would not work if a space existed in the installation path. Additionally, the upgraded linker caused debugging to fail for all executables. Windows users are encouraged to upgrade to Build 3882 as soon as possible. We are in the process of pushing a release to the Microsoft Store as well that will correct the issues...

Simply Fortran 3.28 Now Available
Simply Fortran version 3.28 is now available for all supported platforms from Approximatrix. This release introduces new features and bug fixes for the development environment and Windows compiler. The development environment now features "Scratch Pads," accessible via the File menu or by pressing F4 (or Shift+F4 to open an existing Scratch Pad). Version 3.27 Available
Approximatrix is happy to announce the release of Simply Fortran 3.27 for Windows, macOS, and GNU/Linux. The latest release adds a number of user-requested features, addresses debugger issues, and incorporates bug fixes in the development environment.
Builds may now be interrupted from the toolbar or Build menu if the user wishes to interrupt the process. This feature can be helpful with longer builds if a problem is visually identified early on during this procedure. ...

New Builds to Address Ubuntu Issues
New builds of Simply Fortran for GNU/Linux are now available on the Download page that address a crash occurring on some Ubuntu 22.04 systems. A user reported a crash on startup caused by an unexpected interaction with Wayland display servers. If run from a GUI, there was no subsequent message as Simply Fortran crashed. Builds numbered 3809 or higher should address this crash as well as a bug where the View menu would endlessly collect menu separators as Simply Fortran...
