An issue has been uncovered with the outline and indexing engines when working with C source code files that can lead to exceptionally high CPU usage. The current download of Version 1.8 (Build 460) no longer exhibits this behavior. Version 1.8 of the Simply Fortran suite is now available from Approximatrix, LLC. This first version of 2011 incorporates significant changes to the IDE that are meant to improve the user experience. Specifically, CPU usage due to the background outline and indexing engines should now be noticeably lower.
