Simply Fortran for Raspberry Pi Available

Posted on Jan. 25, 2016

Along with our 32- and 64-bit x86 GNU/Linux releases, Approximatrix has now released a ARM v6/v7 version of Simply Fortran for Raspbian and Ubuntu MATE systems. Users can now directly author Fortran code on the Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi 2 using our development environment and integrated debugger with ease. After installing the proper package, Simply Fortran will run smoothly on both the original and faster Raspberry Pi 2 systems.

Accompanying this Raspberry Pi release are bug fix builds for x86 GNU/Linux systems. Documentation will now open on all systems thanks to the correction of a minor memory bug. Autocomplete issues caused by editing files with Windows line endings has been fixed. Build output tabs should now be far faster at displaying progress after some minor changes to our handling of compiler output.

The latest builds are now available on the Download page. If you find Simply Fortran to be a productive addition to your system, please consider registering your copy of Simply Fortran for GNU/Linux to ensure its ongoing development.
