6.1.28 TYPE as an alias for PRINT
For compatibility, GNU Fortran will interpret TYPE
statements as
PRINT
statements with the flag -fdec. With this flag asserted,
the following two examples are equivalent:
TYPE *, 'hello world'
PRINT *, 'hello world'
